About Yeme

Built from the ground up—starting in Bradford. Yeme was shaped by real places, real constraints and a long-standing belief that communities already hold more potential than systems recognise.

Built from overlooked places

Yeme began in Bradford, a post-industrial city where we saw strength, activity and potential that traditional systems often failed to recognise.

Working in urban design and architecture, we saw something that conventional systems often missed – strong communities, active local organisations, and cultural identity and energy. But, these strengths were undervalued, poorly understood, fragmented across different systems.

We started looking differently at place

Yeme began in urban design and architecture in Bradford. Working in a challenged post-industrial city, we saw communities with deep local strength, relationship and activity—but those assets were often invisible to institutions.

That led us to data.

Not to replace local knowledge, but to make overlooked strengths, needs and networks visible.

Turning local reality into usable into intelligence

Our platform brings together place insights, walkable neighbourhood analysis, community assets and social value indicators to help organisations understand where support is needed, what already exists and where activity can have the greatest effect.

The Yeme Approach

Yeme is built on a simple belief – it is easier to influence many local actors than to centrally redesign entire systems

Working with what already exists

We build on local organisations, relationships and activity already embedded in place.

Coordinate rather than duplicate

We help align funding, partners and delivery around shared priorities.

Make change visible

We turn activity into evidence that can be tracked, reported, and improved over time.

Yeme does

Fund existing local organisations

Direct activity towards real needs

Coordinate what is already happening

Measure change at place level

Yeme does not

Create parallel programmes

Replace local organisations

Operate like a consultancy

Treat Social Value as a box ticking exercise

The Team

Yeme is led by a team with experience across urban design and planning, data and analytics, community development, public sector delivery, digital platforms and systems. Supported by a growing network of delivery partners, local organisations, specialist advisors, institutional collaborators.
